Axbridge Cricket Club was re-established in 2004 and plays friendly matches against a combination of local and touring sides. We play mid–week usually on a Wednesday evening (20/20) and Sunday afternoons (40 over) games.

New members of all abilities are very welcome. Matches take place at the picturesque Allerton ground near Chapel Allerton or at Sidcot School. All games are played in a friendly spirit. We try our best to win, but only after ensuring that everyone who wants to has a bat, a bowl or ideally both.

Our youth policy encourages young players as well as old. We welcome and encourage new members to join us. So if you live in Axbridge or any of the surrounding villages and want to play cricket with a friendly and inclusive club please do get in touch with us.

Our aim is to bring cricket back to Axbridge itself, with net facilities on the furlong planned for the start of the 2010 season and eventually our own pitch.

During the summer we have weekly nets. Indoor nets are held from the end of March through to the start of the new season at the Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre.

Contacts are Dean Packham (Captain : Tel : 07777 673731) or Mike Day (Fixtures Secretary : Tel : 01934 732659). Don’t worry if you do not have the gear – the club has bats, gloves, pads etc for the use of members.
